Please read ALL carefully in relation to the type of project/booking you have been allocated for. You are strongly advised to read each time you are allocated to a new project/booking because these are subject to change at any time without prior notice due to operational requirements.

TELEPHONE CONFERENCE

When booked for a telephone conference, the interpreter must be logged in to the dial-in details or be in a position to begin the conference at the exact scheduled start time. If the interpreter hasn’t been contacted at the scheduled time, they need to notify NTIS UK / UKLST immediately (this should be done within 5 minutes at the scheduled start time by calling the office on 02039507188). Failure to do this will result in 15 minutes of deduction from the final payment.

It is a requirement for interpreters to perform the telephone interpretation in a private and quiet and indoors (within a vehicle is not acceptable), with no noises in the background. All our bookings are confidential so they must be treated as such.

If, for unforeseen circumstances, interpreters are unable to perform the conference in a private place, he/she needs to notify NTIS UK / UKLST immediately and DO NOT perform the conference in public in any case. The notice can result in financial penalisation, this will be the decision of the Duty Manager at the time.

When the interpreter is provided with dial-in details to join a conference, he/she needs to dial in at least 5 minutes before the starting time to make sure the details are working correctly and avoid any delay. On come occasions, proof of this may be required to settle outstanding payments.

If the interpreter is having issues dialing in, he/she needs to notify NTIS UK / UKLST immediately or penalisation for late attendance will apply.
